Route numbers
If there is a CR 467, I've never seen or heard of it. So why not 466 and 467 instead of 466A.?
|
Well 1st off, even numbers are for East-West roads, and odd numbers for North-South roads as most county roads follow state designations. So if anything, you would think it should be 464 or 468. But sometimes, the addition of a letter suffix may indicate that it could be an intra-county route whereas without the designation, it may be an inter-county route. But really not sure of the suffix designation.

Isn't there another thread just like this one???

There is no rule about similar concurrent threads. We may sometimes merge the two threads if it makes sense. It if it a true duplicate, I.e. same thing posted in two forum areas, we will delete the "misplaced" duplicate.
This thread is fine... Carry on....unless the OP requests that it be merged with the other. Moderator |
It might be somewhere else in Florida and the roads converged and it ended before near the villages. Remember, the roads came first, than route numbers were applied to make long distance driving easier. They have their own names.

I enjoy seeing rts 44, 44a, 44b, 44c, etc! who knows where they all go? very confusing. I don't remember so many weird designations in Orange or Osceola Counties where we lived before.
