endometriosis/ gynecological specialist
 

I will be moving to the villages from the Cape Cod area- hopefully this summer. Will need to find a gynecologist with an interest in endometriosis. Have had surgery and currently on a 6 month treatment plan. Would appreciate any suggestions as to Drs that might specialize in endometriosis. They can be outside The Villages immediate area and in surrounding areas.

I am not sure about the specific interest in endometriosis but I would recommend OB-GYN Associates of Mid-Florida. They have four doctors (2 male and 2 female) all board certified with 2 locations, one in TV right next to the hospital and an office in Leesburg which isn't very far away. I currently see Dr. Hjort. I just started seeing her and like the treatment I have received from her thus far. She even called me at home about an issue she thought needed to be addressed, not her nurse assistant. I liked that the doctor called me since I am new to FL and their practice and trying to build a new dr/patient relationship. I do miss my old gyn dr. and her nurse assistant back home, but I am here now and must forge ahead in my new life. Check out their web site, just plug in the practice name into your search bar. I liked what I saw. Their phone number is 352-259-5649 for the TV office and 352-787-1535 for the Leesburg office. By the way, the office staff is very courteous. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion. Even if the staff at OB-GYN Associates doesn't deal with endometriosis, they might have a suggestion of who does.
