Packages

Dumb question I guess but while I know that mail goes to a central pick up spot, what if you get a package from UPS or Fedex? Amazon is one of my best friends so where do those deliveries go? Thanks.

If delivered via USPS...and too big for your mailbox you'll get a key w/#...you'll go around the bldg. to where there are numbered larger boxes and your item will be there. Otherwise they might direct you to the regular post office. If via UPS or FedEx...they'll be delivered to your home.

Thanks so much. I was just wondering where my stuff would end up if I ordered something. Again, thank you.

Right to your front door. I see UPS and/or Fedex pass by my home nearly every day and have had deliveries from them on a number of occasions! With USPS, my experience is that if it doesn't fit in the oversize box at the mail station, the person stationed to the postal location has dropped it off at our house when done there for the day... but it could go either way depending on the worker!

That's a beautiful picture of your kitty. Great to know packages are delivered.

When we moved into our home in December, we were one of the few people on our street. Since I had ordered quite a bit from Amazon, etc, I made it a point to include "(Village of Fernandina)" in the shipping address. No problems and the UPS and FedEx folks now know us fairly well... If you are in a just built area, you may want to include your village name in the shipping address.

Great point Doc. I am, in fact, in a new area - Gilchrist. I will add that to Amazon, etc. Thanks for the tip.
