Price Increase

I just noticed the Designers have gone up again.
We bought a Spec house on March 30th and there
have been 2 price increases since then.
That makes TWO increases in 6 weeks??

Am I right about this?

The Ivy base was $9,600 less then now?

Yes, you are right, our agent called us earlier this month that prices were going up another 2%.

Roaddog53 05-19-2013 03:20 PM

Going up again June 1st another 1.8%. All discounts go away August 1st. If you haven't had your design meeting scheduled by now (next available is aug 2) you get no more discounts.

Prices up and I heard from a reliable source that the number of homes targeted to be built in the next 30 days has gone up too. Makes you wonder----what is the hurry?

Get er done!!! Price increases are good news for those of us lucky to already be here - not so lucky for those still wishing to come. One of the best things about The Villages is the fact it is affordable to a good number of people across the board. Too many price increases will make it out of reach for some I'm afraid.

I was just wondering about available design meetings for this summer. My sales rep recently told me that it wouldn't be a problem getting an appointment for July. Has that just changed?

I talked to a salesperson this weekend and the next design meeting he said was available is August 2. Now either he is wrong or your salesperson is wrong.

10000 boomers a day are retiring. Supply and demand. There is no other place like this in the US and people want in. Have to have homes ready for them. I understand that the villages website has a million hits a week.

We were worried about buying before we sold our current house; now we're relieved we did.

This makes total sense! That's a lot of Boomers retiring - including
This Boomer! :clap2:

Will there be another collapse of the real estate market followed by a stock market correction of maybe 90% ?

Some experts think so !

Would those would be the same "experts," who make a killing off of pushing a "Doomsday" philosophy on talk radio and touting gold as......"the answer?"

Here's the way I see it.

There will be an unprecedented number of people retiring.....in the next 10 years or so.

A large % of them are from places that have long winters.

Southern states in general, Florida particularly and The Villages specifically.....look very enticing to them.

While there will most likely be small corrections in the housing (and stock markets), I foresee a definite rise in both......over the coming years.
