Whining

Posters are often accusing other posters of whining when they disagree with an opinion. Can't one post an opinion without being labeled a whiner? Am I whining? Am I going to be attacked because my opinion might not be the same as some of you who are quick to accuse? Isn't this a forum for exchanging ideas and opinions?

I don't think name calling is nice. I think it is detrimental to this forum.

For your info:

whine (hwn, wn)
v. whined, whin·ing, whines
v.intr.
1. To utter a plaintive, high-pitched, protracted sound, as in pain, fear, supplication, or complaint.
2. To complain or protest in a childish fashion.
3. To produce a sustained noise of relatively high pitch:

I didn't think posters accused others of whining just because they disagreed with them. I thought it was more because they thought the "whiner" was complaining about something very trivial or insignificant in the long rush of things.
