Pink and white nails
 

I have a friend who is coming this week to visit us and then attend an insurance convention at Disney. She couldn't get her nails done before she left so she asked me if anyone here does pink and white fill ins and does pedicures but here is the question of the day. She does not want an Asian place. She also doesn't want it cost an arm and leg. Do you know of a place?:pray::pray: she has had bad experiences with Asian places back in Michigan.

Not wanting an Asian place is not because of race nor bigotry. I've been told several times over the years it's because many of these salons get beautiful, fast, cheaper results by using dental acrylic. But:

What is MMA? I’m sure you’re wondering. MMA stands for methyl methacrylate and it’s a common ingredient in far too many acrylic nail salons. It is often referred to as ‘dental acrylic’ or ‘porcelain nails’.

MMA is used safely to make resins, plastics and plastic dentures. MMA nail enhancements are incredibly strong but it’s not safe for use on soft nail tissue. In 1974 the American Food and Drug Administration declared it to be a Poisonous and harmful substance when used on fingernails.

There are no Canadian Regulations pertaining to the use of MMA, which is why many salons are still using this extremely inexpensive product......."

I think that is what she is thinking of. It's the products that they are using for her nails. I don't have my nails done so I hope I'm not offending anyone by my statement about Asian places to get her nails done. I'm just asking about places here for her because she couldn't get them done before she leaves town. Thank you ilovetv for clearing this up.
