Twilight golf and course conditions

Played twilight golf last night, 5pm tee time, and got all 18 holes in a palmer ending with a beautiful sunset. Course was in great shape green grass and no hard pan. I beleive palmer get more water and has a better company taking care of the course than cane, havana, and mallory. I know people will argue that all the courses south of 466 get equal water and have same company taking care of greens and fairways but i would differ.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that Palmer Legends is maintained to a much higher standard than the other Villages courses. Could it be that the contract that enables use of the Palmer name demands a level of conditioning that will not besmirch the Palmer name by allowing deplorable conditions that are typical at all other courses. Oh, maybe extra conditioning helps explain why Palmer costs $10+ bucks more than any other courses.

Afriend of mine was at a corporate event at bay hill and had a conversation with a person who worked for palmer golf and he told my friend that all palmer signature courses must meet a certain standard and if they don't are given time to fix the problem. Didn't say what would happen if they didn't.

Played Destin nine at Bonifay Sunday night and the condition is not good. While I know the course has recently been aerated the fairways are very hard with the grass cut very short. Numerous golf cart tire burn marks in the fairways and rough. Hopefully this rain today and the expected rain the next couple of days will help all the courses.
