Before I enclose my lanai.. Some help please

This is my first summer here and My lanai is getting lots of mud from recent rains. I have porch back north that has sliding glass and screens was considering that as an option. I hate the idea of not being outside but not liking the muddy rain on the furniture. Any suggestions? Thanks again I don't do anything with out checking with youz guys!

Before you enclose your lanai, consider installing lanai drains. There are a few previous threads on this...just do a search. There are a few simple suggestions on the link below. Maybe if the drainage in your lanai is better and the water runs out, there will not be any mud issues. Good luck.

we put in riverrock and no water on the lanai

kaydee 06-10-2013 09:57 PM

Riverrock for us as well...no standing water and no mud. Love my screened lanai that faces west and use it year round.

gomoho 06-11-2013 06:15 AM

I don't understand how river rock prevents the lanai from getting wet when it rains.

lpkshop 06-11-2013 08:18 AM

That was my next question! How can river rock keep it dry

asianthree 06-11-2013 08:30 AM

the water does not stand on the river rock..no puddles when it rains best improvement ever and its a joy to walk on barefoot
