Pay for RN's

I have an interview tomorrow at Promise and would like to know what RN's make per hour. I hate to ask for something or take what they give without knowing what some make. I just want an idea what nurses make.

For what it is worth----average mean salary for a RN in Florida is $64,020.00.

not in the villages. in the hospitals full time is only 36 hours . you would have to work about 45 to make that

I am curious about the benefit package in the area for an RN. OP didn't ask about that. I have a niece who is a RN in St. Louis who has talked about moving...... I know it can "vary" but maybe someone has a general idea. In my book, the nurses are all under payed.

Okay- RN salary in The Villages will be about 28.00-35.00 hourly depending if you take benefits. TVRH- 36 hours is full-time employment w/ benefits- most hospitals in Virginia were the same. Hourly jobs mean OT is time and half. The hospital is always hiring. Did you get the job at Promise????

I am surprised at these numbers - have a friend who is a retired RN working part time for one of the "in the home" caretakers making $1000 week part time.

It cost me $275 a day for an Rn to give me a day off when I was a caregiver for my mom in 1999 in Seattle. She was on a schedule 2 pain med so it had to be an RN. I would think it is a lot higher now. I would think being self employed a person may be paid more per hour but has more expenses and is covering ones own benefits.

Needless to say I didn't take many days off.

I have not heard from Promise yet. The interview was last week. If I don't here from them this week I might give them a call to see when I will know something. I knew the hospital was hiring but Promise seemed a better fit for me. Thanks for the information.
