Affluenza
 

I just finished reading the book "Affluenza".
Having to clean out my current house - as we all have done - I have
a very BAD case of affluenza.
I believe most of us in this country have it too and that is why
downsizing into retirement is so difficult.

One of my main priorities in moving to The Villages is to
SIMPLIFY our lives.

The book refers to this as "voluntary simplifying."

With each closet, drawer or closet I clean out I find myself
thinking "what was I thinking buying all of this STUFF?"

yes, it's one of the reasons I didn't buy a 3 bedroom villa. I knew if I did, I'd just fill it up. Hopefully, I'll have to really think about things before I buy them, although I will say the former owners put lots of shelves in the closets for storage.

I may not have 100 bottles but I sure moved at least 20. That and hand soap. I seem to be fixated with hand soap. Must have another 20 bottles of that.
