Moving to Sanibel
 

We are moving to the Village of Sanibel at the end of July! We're very excited. We visited The Villages last year. Can someone who lives in Sanibel give me some information about the closest golf courses, swimming pools, town square, etc.?

We closed in Sanibel in April. There are a few pools in the area , one is for over 30 (Sanibel Pool) and the other is a community pool for all ages..Both are on Pinellas.. We don't play golf 'yet' but they are everywhere...

Bonifay Country club is a stone throw away. Sanibel is a great central location to most places, even to the shopping center. Both Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood are not far either. We gone to both by golf cart many times.

Agree with JPC55, we also closed on a home in Sanibel in April, not moving there full time yet but we were there last week and will be back in April. Depending on where your house is, there is the Colony Sports pool recreation area on 466A and Morse, Captiva family rec area on Pinellas and Charlotte, the Sanibel adult pool is just a little ways down from Captiva on Pinellas and the Charlotte adult pool is just south of Pinellas a little on Charlotte.

The golf training site with driving range is right on Morse at Pinellas and I think that there may be an executive course there as well

We are not full timers 'yet' either. We will be back in Aug and Nov. We can walk to the Sanibel adult pool. Love it.
