Allen's Sod Service - Comments?
 

Has anyone used Allen's Sod Service and if so, what was your evaluation. I am thinking about using them to re-sod about 2500 sq. ft. of yard.

If you're doing that because of excess weeds, keep in mind that if you don't sterilize the soil, or excavate 18" or more, and replace it with sterile soil, the weeds will pop right back up through the new sod.

Allen sod is very good --they have done work for me and several of my friends and neighbors ..

They had the best price and do a great job --they also roll the sod after placed ---

we have used Allen to replace our entire front yard. He is very good at what he and his people do. They use a very high quality sod. They will start a few weeks ahead of actually putting down the new sod....they will come and sparay the entire area to be removed to kill off not only the existing lawn but what ever may be resident in it as well. Then they come and remove the old and put in the new. Water as directed......do not skimp on the watering the first 30 days.....

Allen will come back if you need for him to do so.

He stands by his work...

Yes, Allens is one of those companies you can depend on. They did a great job for me for a very fair price. Their sod was uniformly excellent.

WE used Allens Sod last year to replace close to 1600SF of Zoyzia. They was very competitive in his price and his work was good.

HGHLY recommended ! BTW they also do landscaping!
