Pot-Bellied Pigs

Just curious - Are pot-bellied pigs allowed in The Villages? I'm sure its addressed in the by-laws but I have more interesting things to read. :read:
If you know, I appreciate you sharing your information.

I have seen a lot of them hanging out at City Fire drinking beer and watching baseball games on the televisions.

Not the 4 legged kind, but you can check your deed restrictions here for sure:

That’s a good idea, dress up a pig put it in a stroller and push it around Brownwood Square, you might even get a discount on a new house as a reward.

I don't know about "Pot Bellied Pigs", but was playing Cane Garden Tuesday, and they have cages in different areas, on holes 2-3-4 on Hibiscus to catch wild pigs, that have been digging up the fairways. I think they had that problem a few years back.

Running out of excuses for bad conditions --- try blaming on wild pigs

:agree:

you are kidding. i hope. it is bad enough that the 'two dog' rule is not enforced; a 'one dog' rule would be much better. and i sure don't want to get started on the dog urination and defacation issue. (and the 'entitled' owners). it is not all dog owners, but the few obnoxious ones make it bad for the good ones.

As suggested, you'll want to check the Deed Restrictions for your Unit to see the specific wording that applies to your property.

Our TV home is in Duval. Here's the applicable excerpt from our Deed Restrictions:

"Section 6. Birds, fish, dogs, and cats shall be permitted, with a maximum of two (2) pets per Homesite...............No other animals, livestock, or poultry of any kind shall be raised, bred, or kept on any Homesite........".

Bill :)

Is this a pet you would keep inside? I understand they are wonderful pets and can be trained.

It's amazing how everything gets turned into dog poop here.

I'm not sure the OP is even thinking of getting a pot-bellied pig for a pet. I think she's just trying to keep us busy while she goes golfing! :posting:

P.S. George Clooney has a pot-bellied pig that he dearly loves. I hear he just broke up with Stacey, his gorgeous wrestler girlfriend. His pig has a much longer shelf life than his girlfriends.

Patty55 07-19-2013 11:28 AM

I'd just slap a dress on it and say its a Pug.

And hope it does't oink too loudly when lunching on a restaurant patio! :D
