Thanks for coming to Crispers today
 

We had a really great crowd at Crispers today, both regulars and some new folks. It was fun to enjoy each others company and learn more about our fellow villagers. The following TOTV posters were there: Swinfla, Cbg150, Eileenny2TV, Tainsley, Ugotme, Kfierle, 2BNTV, DougB, PammJ, Redwitch, JRHeydt, TrishCrocker, DocCrocker,
DonH57 and me. :) Thanks again for coming out.

It was good to be there to meet so many genuinely nice people. I look forward to keeping in touch at Crisper's and elsewhere.

That's correct. https://www.talkofthevillages.com/forums/calendar.php I got bogged down yesterday pretty much all day in trying to win an Endurance badge on Funtrivia. The badge requires getting the most points on a worldwide site on that particular day. http://www.funtrivia.com/?ref=Taltarzac I got it but was up until almost 2 last night.

Doug and I had a nice time! This will be the last one for a while that we can attend at Crispers. I think we decided in addition to Crispers, to get together at different venues at varied times around TV. We hope to meet more of you! When you read posts everyday and talk on this forum, it feels as though you already know each other. We love TOTV!

We would have loved to be there but the painter was at our home most of the afternoon. Now that we are full-time Villagers, we will be able to attend at least a couple of these lunches.

Thanks Ellen and Don for hosting. We had a nice time. So nice to see everyone!

As always, it was a fun gathering! There were murmurs about moving to a location where there might be a "happy hour!" I'll go along with that! :D

Having been a Villager since Feb '05, I now and then feel somewhat like a fossil, especially as we have 'young' new members who are moving into the Village of Hillsborough - which seems to be miles and miles away! :-) :-)

Thanks everyone for the kind words, we really enjoy the monthly gathering. We won't be at next months get together but will be thinking of you all and looking forward to September's. Take care,

without you and our totv elder statespeople and crispers founders we would have no link to the history of the org! you all mean a lot to us and we think of you as just another frog - but a special one at that!

Enjoyed the Crispers gettogether except that sitting inside makes it difficult to carry on conversations unless you are talking to people at your table and the next table. It's much better when we meet outside where we can move the tables closer. However, depending on the weather that might make it difficult. I wonder whether we could meet at another place where we could move tables closer. A rec. center would be good and if you wanted to eat or drink you can bring your own drinks or food. Are there any other restaurants that have a meeting room that we could use? Just throwing this out for discussion.
