What a marvelous post! I believe many of us are tired of trying to be something different than we are.

Okay, I'm going to admit that I didn't read your opening post because it's way too long for my taste, and I'm not inclined to invest that much time in it. I do a lot of reading during the day and I come to the computer for some relief from it. But your theme, which I have picked up from others who have replied, sounds very worthwhile. Isn't there a shortened version?

I can't still for more than a paragraph. that's who I really am.

Lovely post. Very long but a nice read. I have gone on a personal thought process and realize I'm ready to pack it in. Too many hurts and too many disappointments.

What are you packing in? I'm a cesspool of hurts too, maybe we should meet after all.

I meant that living isn't all that wonderful. When the time comes I won't fight passing.

Might I suggest taking a speed reading course........or just skip it.

If by "pack it in" you mean ending your life on earth?
I also read the post following this one, that you sent a bit later.....

I truly believe life goes in cycles and every now and then we are given something which seems too hard to bear......

When one is in the depths of despair, it isn't easy to convince them that life is still worth living........but it is.

Do you have someone close by that you can talk to????
Locking everything up inside seems to magnify the pain and hurt.

Believe it or not , "this too shall pass"...........but in the meantime, perhaps someone close by can pay a visit or share some words of wisdom on how they cope with despair.

I would never take my life. Just not a happy camper.

Nice post OP.
It always amused me to see the transition of my class mates at each 10 year reunion. From I've become a big shot at the first 10 year reunion to I hardly notice myself anymore at the 50th brings a smile to my face every time. There isn't anything more boring than a person who over utilizes pronouns of I me.

The nice thing about aging is that we eventually find out that we are but one person of 6 billion and average at that.

Thank you for taking the time to read it.

I'd say you are far above average.........in many ways.

Speaking of 50th class reunions, last year was our class of 1962 50th high school reunion and NO ONE SIGNED UP TO ATTEND. It was cancelled.

Obviously, everyone has relocated..........so the new "plan" is to combine 1962, 1963 and 1964 classes with the class of 1965 50th reunion........

It's great that you were able to attend yours............
