He was a great actor but a much better family man. I had the pleasure to know Dennis for the past 50 years as he was my sister-in-laws brother. We grew up in the near north side of Chicago near North Ave and Halsted St. The youngest son (my brother's wife, Gloria, was the youngest daughter) was the one who always remembered his family and helped those who needed it. The last time I was him was at my brothers wife, Gloria's funeral this past January. He flew in fron AZ and was as grief stricken as any of us.
On the brighter side we always had tiime for his fans. This was evident when ever we went out for dinner in Chicago as he was very popular as he did several commercials for local companies as well as local plays such as Bleacher Bums!
We are waiting to hear of funeral arrangements! May he rest in peace with family members who have gone before him in Christ!

Please accept my deepest condolences. May the joy of who Dennis is, soon replace the pain you and family and friends are dealing with.
