Installers of Quartz and Granite counter tops
I am planning to install quartz or granite on the kitchen counters of my Lantana home. Has anyone used Wildwood Kitchen and Bath, Ocala Tile or Bailey Industries? How satisfied were you and what were your costs?

I had Wildwood Kitchen and Bath install my new Cambria quartz countertop in the kitchen (and laundry room sink surround to match). I also installed the color-coordinated Elkay E-granite Aqua Divide sink with the lower middle partition and a Moen faucet. I absolutely love my new kitchen. I bought a spec home in the Village of Charlotte and HATED the granite that was put in by the builder. I have an open floorplan in my Designer Lily, so the kitchen is a focal point. Wildwood Kitchen and Bath did high quality work and they stand behind their work. I had a little problem with one of the splash guards pulling away slightly from the adjacent cabinet (made by Bailey Industries) because the cabinet is a teeny bit bowed. Wildwood K&B came out twice to fix the problem until I was satisfied. Also, the plumber they use is outstanding. When he was re-installing the Insinkerator he actually discussed with me which side of the sink I'd prefer it on. It turns out it's more convenient on the side opposite from where the builder placed it, so the plumber moved it. Most sub-contracting plumbers would just re-attach everything and leave. The entire cost was around $8,000 mostly because the quartz I selected, which is made exclusively in the USA by Cambria, is expensive, but exceptionally beautiful. PM me if you'd like to come by my house to see the countertops and sink. I chose Wildwood K&B because they are a distributor for Cambria quartz and my handyman, who has lived near the Villages for a long time, endorsed Wildwood K&B as a quailty company. The representative I worked with is Eric. He did a fabulous job advising me on the project.

We used Ocala Kitchen & Bath on 466.. Were not the cheapest but you get what you pay for..Outstanding workmanship, attention to detail and not really that much more...not one complaint.

We used Duncan Stone and couldn't be happier with our granite. We had the kitchen and both bathrooms done. They did a beautiful job, the owner comes out and does all the measurements and gives the quotes. He also came back out with the crew and worked on the install. As the previous post says, you get what you pay for and with Duncan you get a quality job and product.

I quoted 3 different companies and ended up going with Duncan Stone. They were on time, did a great job and I am very happy. I did Cambria Quartz in my Kitchen and granite in the bathrooms.

I am in the process of signing proposal with Ocala Kitchen and Bath on 466. I wanted Cambria and found that The store on 466 carried it. I have been very satisfied with their assistance in finding the right quartz for my home. Glad to read that another member was very happy with them.

I used granite solutions. Great price, great job! Couldn't be happier
My kitchen is also open and large, plus three baths and love my granite and the quality of the slabs they used. They matched perfectly and you can't see the grout lines. |
Another positive vote for Duncan Stone. They have done two homes for me and both were excellent.

Went back and forth with Quartz verses Granite and finally decided on Granite. Seven bids later we went with ARS Granite on 441. Great people to work with and reasonably price.

Granite Installers - Stone Designer, Inc.
A company by the name of Stone Designer, Inc. on 441 in Summerfield just finished our granite in the kitchen & baths. Used Wildwood Kitchen & Bath for my last house & they put two different shades of granite in the Master Bath & shoved one piece into the corner which bowed the wall into our sliding privacy door so that it scratched everytime you tried to open or close it. They put the granite that was supposed to go in the Master in the Guest bathroom, & didn't want to change it or accept a lower payment for their "botched" job. When you get a price, don't just judge a company by their square foot price. Wildwood also charged me extra to take out the existing countertops, brackets, & the plumber. The price that Stone Designer (Carlos & Elizabeth Rodriguez) gave us included everything including the plumbing, tear out, and window ledges for the kitchen & Master Bath. They installed granite in 3 homes in our former neighborhood & everyone was pleased with the results and the price.

We got prices from 3 different companies and ended up going with Duncan Stone. They were on time and did a great job. Their price never changed from the first visit with them. We did Cambria Quartz in our kitchen and are very pleased with the results.
