How about sharing the joy of flying things in TV.

What a joy to share TV with the critters! I had a single monarch on my milkweed last evening for hours. This morning I watched her mating dance with a male. Most of the day, she has laying eggs and laying and laying again.

I'm going to need help hosting this hatch, so you guys with big stands milkweed be ready for me to bring caterpillars over in a couple of weeks.

Hi Kitty,

Very cool idea! I found this little fellow last fall. I had never seen one up north.

Oh my gosh, I remember seeing that fellow in Jacksonville Fl years ago - very cool. Don't remember what they are called.

This is a Polka Dot Wasp Moth, Syntomeida epilais, is a very effective wasp mimic. By imitating a stinging insect, it is able to avoid many predators. The caterpillar, known as the Oleander Caterpillar, has no problem finding food in the state of Florida because oleander is so widely planted, so this is a relative common insect.

Thank you! I looked for pics of the Polka Dot Wasp Moth and there is no doubt, you are absolutely correct.

I think we took this picture at Silver Springs last year. This little duck seems to be suffering from an identity disorder?

I am looking forward to coming in September and curious to see different butterflies and birds than I am used to seeing. Already have a bird bath and feeders ready to move on down.
