what kind of vacuum do you think they will most likely USE? I have the bagless kind now, and at my old home I dumped the dirt into my compost pile. Here, I am trying not to spread dust all over when I empty it into the garbage bag.

I'm thinking I'd like to switch back to a canister with a bag.

What would people be more likely to use, and take care of...changing a bag, or emptying a dirt container?

Definitely not a canister. They'll never empty the bag and most don't like hauling the canister around. Normally, whoever cleans your home between renters will empty the vac. Renters rarely do.

Definitely no bag! At least in the new vacuum cleaners they can see when it is full of dirt, in one with a bag, they may never look. Empty outside, it's easy.
