Found a Great Restaurant/Best kept secret

Have to tell you about a great restaurant with great food & great prices and most of all great staff, they know who gets what. Little Joey's Pizza & Italian Restaurant is located on 441/27 N of Wal-Mart, just a mile or so on the left in the strip mall with the tile roofs before intersection of 441/27 & 42. I had the Veal ala Joey's with angle hair pasta & Joey's sauce. The veal is fresh cut and pounded daily & has never been frozen. Oh what flavor. I also had Chicken Francaise with angel hair with the same sauce as the chicken. Oh, wow! You can order whatever pasta you like with whatever sauce you like. Then another time I tried the meatball sub with mozzarella cheese. The meatballs were wonderful and the cheese was not that bubblegum type that you can choke on. Sauce is homemade. Pricing is very reasonable. Menu from appetizers, Clams Casino (delicious) soup (love the Pasta fazoul) baked dishes, pasta, sandwiches hot/cold, chicken, seafood, veal, pizza (yummy the best) calzone oh wow. Deserts, well if you can't fit it take home cannoli for later. Children under 10 only half price w/free beverage spaghetti, manicotti, ravioli, baked ziti. Better than fast food. Coffee/tea/hot/iced only $1.00 and the cup is huge. Other beverages sodas etc available. Wine & beer bar only. Great place for lunch (NO LINES) Full menu served all day. Booths for 6 are huge. If you are coming here for diner come between 4:00 & 5:00 to beat the crowd. Hours are: Sunday closed, Monday 4:00pm till closing, Tues thur Sat 11:00 am till closing. Now that I have told you about this place I probably won't be able to get a seat. No I don't own or work here. Just a Villager who loves great fresh homemade food. Decor is Tuscon. Your comments and reviews please.

What a coincidence! I love Little Joey's. My favorite meal is the chicken ala Joey's

Having owned and operated a similar restaurant for 25 years, the original message seems to be a plant. They tend to cover lack of flavor in their pizza with an overload of tomato sauce. The food was OK, but not that special for the price.

Our first visit to Little Joey's was great. The food was wonderful and we were sooo happy to have discovered a hidden gem of a restaurant.

We visited again in a month or so and the second time around Little Joey's fell loudly from extraordinaire to plain ol' ordinary. Service was good both times, but the second time around the food left much to be desired. We may give them another chance one day, but it's a long drive from Mallory Square and there are lots of restaurants up our way.

We were pleasantly surprised by our recent visit to Carabba's. In my family it's near impossible to please everyone particularly my mother who can find fault with the table location, the AC blowing on her, the booths are too low, the list goes on and on but not here.

We've never believed that a chain restaurant could possibly have good food but they did. Relatives in Chicago and the Carolina also speak well of Carabba's.

I've been in the business for years and tried Joey's -- not bad, but not great -- might go back some time, but not real soon -- In fact, I have not found an outstanding pizza in the villages -- guess I expect quality in food and service and havn't found it -- mostly, I'm finding cheap ingredients and slow service --

I lived in Chicago for 48 years and to me Carrabas cannot compare to the restaurants in "Little Italy" or anywhere in Chicago. We tried Carrabas once and that was enough, not worth the long waits. We tried Little Joey's when they first opened and were not impressed but now we like it. Isabelles is good Mediterranean food, we like it for a change.

We just had lunch at the new Chinese Rest. over near 466A in that Publix shopping center . It was very good. Nice luncheon menus are $5 which includes the drink. Sure wish them well. Its a great deal.

Sandy...I agree; 2 of us got one takeout combo dinner and had enough left over for lunch the next day; cost was about $7-$8. Very reasonable, good quantity, and pretty tasty. Very extensive menu. I too hope they get enough business to prosper as the development slowly snakes down towards 466A.
