Changing Items for Sale Title
 

I've posted four items on the "Items for Sale..." forum and attempted to change the posts; specifically the original posted title. I used the advanced edit link, which allows me to change the title. However, when I look at the posts, their original title persists. When I go back to edit, it shows the changed title but never changes it in the original post. What am I missing?

I would suggest that you click on the red triangle at the top right and ask the moderators to change the title for you.

They are the only ones that I know of that can change the Thread title.

That is what the moderators told me too

I wanted to amend to "Sold" but my changes did not appear on-line

Seems an oversight that we can't do this ourselves - we can edit the body of the post, and it would give the hard-working moderators less to do

I've had same problem....Now if I could find out how to post a picture in Items for Sale avatar I can claim staying at a "Holiday Inn Express":1rotfl:

Changing the thread title is not a feature on this site. While we appreciate you not wanting to give us moderators more to do, this is what we are here for.

Also, after we mark the item sold, we also close the thread so no one else can post to it.

If you put SOLD at the beginning of your original post we will see it when we browse the Items for Sale threads and we will take the appropriate action (put SOLD in the thread title and close the thread).
