Couldnt stand it, had to have another attempt at close up of these. Morh/butterfly Number One, looks as if he's doing the Royal Wave

Yes, that's usually the easier way to tell. Here's a chart showing other differences that I found interesting. Your pictures are beautiful.

Ever been to the bfly museum in Gainesville? Well worth a trip...usually have a festival in October.

Never been to the one in Gainville, but enjoyed the buttefly house in the Keys, and one in London's Kew Gardens. I took Gracie's advice and ventured into other forms of photographty, having started with skies, and the many beautiful places throughout TV. Life is an adventure, eh?

indeed it is...I'm a photographer wannabe too. the sky here is amazing...as it's flat and mostly treeless....I'll be going to the photography thingy in the rec news if I ever get organized. shrandell, thanks for the inspiration. you're sharing beauty.

These butterflies are all in the skipper family. That is one of the hardest to identify.
