Dr. daughter thinking about TV

My daughter, who is a 30 year old dentist, has told me she is thinking about establishing a new dental office in TV.

She went to The University of Michigan for undergrad and dental school and after dental school she was a captain in the Army Dental Corps and served in Iraq.

What do you think? Is there enough "room" in TV for another dentist?

I am probably prejudiced but I think she is a great dentist and person.

I think it's a great idea! I am new to TV and am having a very difficult time finding a dentist that accepts our insurance and who is taking new patients. I loved my dentist in PA. I don't blame you for being prejudiced. I am an Army Mom and I think anyone who serves our country the way our kids did should get extra recognition. Please thank her from me !!!

I'm no expert, (didn't even stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night) but with the population of TV growing at the rate it is, seems like there would be a lot more demand over the next two years.
Good luck to her! If she does, be sure and message me her name as I will be looking for one in about a year.

We use to see a dentist in NC that was army trained and loved her. Common sense and no oversell. I am sure there would be room for her. The key is getting insurance certified.

As one poster stated there is an influx of new people all the time and they all have a mouth which is aging even as we speak. There do seem to be a bunch of dental practices up north and on 466 but I bet it would be a good move if she set up practice down near 466A or 44.

Depends. Dentistry is a very costly set up, unlike medicine. Mostly depends on how much she would like to live here. Is she married? How much would the lifestyle here mean to her. Would she prefer working for someone or be on her own? Her background may appeal to the inherent patriotism of the average villager. And that is as it should be. The easiest way to tell if there is a need is to see if the established dentists need help because they are too busy. I am sure she will make the right choice based on her personal factors and hope she ends up close to her dad so he can enjoy her sucess close up.
