White or bronze sliding glass doors to enclose lanai?
 

I'm enclosing my lanai with sliders on 3 sides. I am trying to decide between white framing and bronze framing. I notice that the new areas are using a lot of bronze. Would appreciate any thoughts you have about one or the other. Thank you!

Some factors to consider...

Bronze won't show dirt as easily as white. I don't know if bronze will fade in the sun more than white over many years.

White goes with everything. Bronze works with most house colors but may clash with some. What looks best for your house color?

If you have an open or expansive view, the bronze blends in more naturally with grass and trees, IMO, as you look out.

We went with the bronze for our eglass sliders and are very happy with the look.

I don't know how bronze holds up in regards to fading, but I think it sure does look richer. Bronze seems to blend more, more eye appealing. While looking at it, your eyes wonder along with it, not as stark as white where the frame seems to end bluntly IMO.

My home is a light yellow with white trim and brown shutters.

ours is white and takes time to keep it clean

The bronze frames will heat up to more than white. That heat gets transferred and will add heat to the lanai. Depending on the surface area of the frames it could be significant.

I would suggest that you visit houses with both and feel the inside of the framing.
