bittersweet that she is gone but that she had such a great life and love with steve, even though they apparently lost a son in 1986. steve lawrence must be completely overwhelmed at losing her after all these years. they gave us much happiness.

A great couple is no more, sad news. I've got to say, though, that there's a section of "Blame it on the Bossa Nova" that is among the more out-of-tune, painful things I've ever heard on vinyl. If you've ever listened to it, you know the part to which I refer. It was near the tip top of Eydie's range, and she just did not get "there" on that chorus. Truly amazing they went to print with that version. (Nowadays they'd just use auto-tune or studio "tricks" to clean that part up. At least it's an authentic boo-boo....) R.I.P. Eydie, and thanks this fine couple for years of great entertainment.
