We may be paying on our own after mid October. I am not hearing anything good about Preferred Care Partners paying the dentists, or in getting work authorized in a timely manner. This is the same reason why other doctors and dentists have pulled out from PCP in the past. It's a heck of a way to do business. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I lost a wonderful oncologist because he had an impossible time getting paid by PCP. I am getting pretty tired of having my good healthcare professionals pulled out from under me. On the surface PCP looks like a really good deal. But, a closer look reveals some real problems beneath the extra frills and benefits they give us. Personally, I am ready to give up the OTC benefit, the dental coverage, which is barely a small discount on services, and the vision coverage if it means I will have good doctors and dentists who will get paid by my insurance company. Is there any other Medicare Advantage Plan that pays when they should?
