LG washer repair
I have a front loading LG washer that is leaking water on the floor; not during the wash cycle but a few hours later. I saw a previous post regarding 2 Brothers Appliance and, based on the user's experience, am hesitant to call them. Does anyone have other recommendations from their experience of someone who is honest, knowledgeable, and reasonable in price? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How old are they? ANy warranty?
We had a motor go out on our LG Front washer. We bought the extended warranty 3 years ago and it paid off big time. I have only used the warranty company. You can call Home Depot or Lowes. They can give you some reputable name I am sure. |
GaryW, unfortunately they are 6 years old. Strangely enough, the manuals that came with were the wrong manuals. I called LG today and they were able to walk us through the process to correct the problem. Don't know why we got the wrong manuals with the unit but their customer service folks are very helpful! Thanks for your feedback; much appreciated...

Look to see if you have a small door on the front of your washer near the floor. When our new front load LG W/D was delivered, the delivery man (from Lowes) said the hose, which is inside that door, should be drained every month or so. When you pull the hose it, it also has a filter on it that should be cleaned. When I drain this hose, of course, water comes out of it. Maybe your filter is clogged and that is causing the leaking? I have no idea, but this popped into my mind when I read your post. I'd be curious if this works.

You must have posted as I was typing. What did customer service say was your problem? I'm curious for future knowledge. Also, you should be able to download the correct manuals online.

Have u pulled the washer out and checked the hoses. they may need tightening. The leak may be from when there is no pressure on the water and it leaks where it connects to the machine.

check the hoses where they connect to washer - may need slight tightening.

Thanks rn1tv. It's good to know LG told you the same thing. But, I'm sorry cleaning the hose and draining it didn't help. Good luck!
