Moving TO Collier
 

Hello everyone moving to Collier. We just purchased on Melbourne Drive a CYV and will be closing on September 16th. We are already here renting in Winifred and can't wait to meet all our new friends and neighbors. We are from New Orleans and Philadelphia and are excited to start our new adventure in the Villages.

Yes, the neighborhood will be jumping, we drove through both sections of Collier last night and could not believe how many homesites were started. It looked like they were building entire streets at a time (no vacant lots/sand without at least a form or concrete pad poured). To me it makes good sense to concentrate building in one area to maximize contractor efficiency, by not having to move equipment very far.

On the otherhand, we are in the Village of Pinellas, and the neighborhood is mostly finished, but we still have about 12 empty lots on the south side of the Pinellas, and about 20 or more on the north side. I guess they were holding those open for "build it your way" sites, but now they they discontinued those, I'm guessing eventually they will build spec. homes on them when they get around to it.

Welcome home. All in all you will find you would rather be in The Villages where the good times roll.

You will love it here. It gets better every day. Watch out for the old people. ;)

Hope to meet all our neighbors soon. We agree the homes are going up very fast and the area is really coming together. One question does anyone know what is being built across from the Brownwood entrance on Buena Vista and ends on 44?

Welcome to Collier! We settle on September 19 and will be down for three weeks. We are on Kennedy - next to corner of Kennedy and McLin. Getting close to completion!!!
Someone said that all the lots have something started. Can anyone verify that? Wow!
How can we all meet each other? Does anyone have any ideas? Is there a bulletin board for Collier resident use at our Collier pool/mail center?
