Elysium

Saw it this afternoon. Absolutely the worst! I thought that Matt
Damon couldn't make a bad movie, but he has succeeded well with this one. Boring, repetitive. After the first 30 minutes, I kept looking at my watch hoping that it would be over soon.

We survived the movie but would not recommend it.. I don't like "computer" generated scenes, etc.. At times I felt I was inside a video game. Must say Jodie Foster looked good.. Matt Damon looked awful .

Loved this Director Neill Blomkamp's District 9 so I will have to see this one myself. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/district_9/

I do remember quite a lot of people in the audience here in the Villages hating that one too. It did not seem to do well with TOTV folk either.

Yup, waste of money, 2 people walked out towards the end..

To the contrary, I loved District 9. Elyssium is by far the worst.

Cannot say I saw a lot of people walk out of District 9. I looked back at my old reply about this movie.

Elysium. Thumbs up for me.

Thought this was quite good. No one walked out at the Old Mill Playhouse which is a good sign.

Jodie Foster did look stunning in this movie. Her character was quite rotten however as were her various henchmen.

The movie was terrible, the acting was juvenile, the script was high schoolish. Other than that, it was just bad. Jodie Foster looked greatttttt and Matt looked like he was trying to get Jared's job with WeightWatchers.

Wife and I like grade-B sci-fi movies. We enjoyed Elysium. Some of the computer graphics were overdone, sort of like the Transformers movies. I don't think the target market is retirees.

The Villages is definitely not the market for Elysium. Thought Matt Damon looked like he fit the part of Mat. A washed up car thief who is trying to get by through working in a factory for what looked like very long shifts. Getting up at 5 a.m. working and then going home and sleeping seemed to be his life. He was trying to not violate his probation.

You could definitely recognize this movie as the work of Neill Blomkamp the Director from District 9.

Saw the DVD of Elysium and liked it more on the second viewing. Elysium - Rotten Tomatoes
