Who Teaches the Rec Center Classes?
 

Just curious who teaches the rec center classes? Are they taught by volunteers or paid individuals?

They are all volunteers and not paid. They aren't allowed to be paid.

However some rooms are used sometimes for paid teachers from The Life Long Learning College.

To my knowledge, they are volunteers. Isn't that amazing!?

To me, that is one of the nicest things about living here - so many people are willing to share their time and talent to make this a wonderful place to live!

for the most part the classes are taught by volunteers....but when they started the classes thru the lifelong learning college some classes were changed to paid classes. I guess some do not believe in giving back....What i dont understand is how some of these classes get primetime morning classes in the rec centers

it's great that instructors give their time for classes...but would not mind paying for a more challanging class every now and then
