Looks very nice! That's a beautiful bismarckia nobilis palm.

Now there's an artistic piece. Love the proportions and placement. Jame has such a great eye for design. Thanks for sharing.

Jamie absolutely does do patios... He does beautiful patios. I've seen some of his work.

Just wondered if he was "reasonable" and where he came in with other bids? Obviously his work is beautiful. Will be working with a limited budget. Thanks

lightworker888 08-31-2013 07:24 AM

I might suggest that when you talk to Jamie, you let him know what your budget is and ask him what he can do with that amount. That would be fairer to both as then you can decide what works for you and he can judge what he has to work with. That way you can benefit from his artistic eye which is always in the equation. JMHO

Based on what a few folks I know paid, no

I disagree, never tell someone what you want spend, that's like bidding against yourself.

Know what you want, draw a plan up then shop that plan

At the time Jamie did our yard he was quite a bit less expensive. The two closet competitors were a nursery on 301 and a Village resident who has been landscaping for years.

The best thing to do like any project is find three reputable names (or more) and get estimates. Jamie was so much different in pricing that I would not have used him in a normal bid process. I would have thrown out the low. I selected him because I watched him work on my neighbor's yard.

In addition he takes no money until YOU are happy.

Caveat reader, he did our work in December 2008, so things may have changed, but based on recent posts, he still is pleasing the customers.
