Replacement of Palm
I have a small palm about 3 feet tall that is on it's last legs in my front yard. I need to replace this palm and was wondering who would be a good landscape company that would do this small job of removing the palm and replacing it with another planting. I know there are a lot of recommendations of landscape companies here but they are mostly recommendtions for large jobs.

I think they charge something like $50- $75? to plant a tree at Fairfield Farms, maybe a little more. Assuming your tree doesn't have a huge root system, they could just dig up your tree and replace with one you bought there.

If the old one died from ganoderma, you cannot plant another palm in the same spot. The disease is in the ground.

Seems to be more common in TV recently.

How would you know whether you had ganoderma? However, on the chance that I have it I will probably plant a non-palm plant there.

It's called "butt rot" and it's obvious. The trunk rots from the inside out.

Thanx for that utube video. It was very informative. l immediately went out to check on my palm and I see no telltale signs of that disease so I guess it's something else. However to be on the safe side I will no plant another palm in that spot.
