Need advice on contractors
 

We recently purchased a house in the Village of Collier. We are planning to have a patio extension of concrete and pavers put outside our lanai and some basic landscaping which includes moving bushes, mulching, and edging. We would appreciate any suggestions and contractor recommendations.
We are also looking to add gutters to sections of the roof. We also need two of our front drain pipes relocated to drain away from the driveway, preferably underground. We would appreciate any suggestions and contractor recommendations.

Hi Gregg/Theresa, just curious, do you need a concrete pad under the pavers? I would think if the ground/sand is leveled out and compacted, that would be enough for pavers. I ask because I'm considering having a paver patio and small wall around it installed and want to have it done right. I've seen many finished ones around, but I've never seen one installed.

Stipes and M&M are the two gutter companies that most recommend. Price is about the same give or take. They will do the entire house or just the sections you want done. Both will relocate the driveway downspout under your walkway and out into your yard (roughly $125-140 extra).

Please use "Paver Base" under your pavers. You will be glad you did.
Home Depot and Lowes has it in bags.
Dirt Cheap north on 441 has it in bulk.

Using normal "sand" under pavers would be dangerous.
Sand would allow pavers to tilt and shift.

We think we'll strongly consider a concrete pad under the pavers, just as people do when applying pavers to their concrete driveways. It will involve height planning for the lanai but it's a strong consideration for us despite added cost. Thanks for the info on Gutter companies. G & T

Concrete is not needed, a compacted stone base works very well with sand on top.
