>:( It is amazing to me how inconsiderate some golfers can be by not raking after themselves in our sandtraps. You are raking out of courtesy for the golfers behind you. There is an urban legend in the Villages about how some snobby people have told our Ambassaddors who ask them to rake that goes something like this: "I'm from (you fill it in) and I DON'T RAKE! That's your job!!!"...I'm sure that at some point this happened and it continues to happen. Yes, occasionally, the Ambassadors will ask you to "pick up the pace" but this doesn't mean that you don't take the time to rake your bunkers. Please be courteous and rake your traps. Thank you!

I just can't imagine the mental state of a person who walks out of the sand trap and doesn't rake it.

I'm a new golfer, taught by my husband (I know, I know) and he told me NEVER leave a sand trap with out raking! Even if I land on the lip, if the sand needs raking because of some inconsiderate diva, I rake it! That's just part of the game!

There is no excuse for poor golf etiquette. IMHO I think the same people who don't rake bunkers are the same people who don't use their turn signals!!

Sandtraps should be treated like ball marks on the green. Rake yours and someone else's who didn't! Only a real golf snob or a lazy SOB would say that he's too good to be raking traps.
