Where can I recycle "AA", "AAA", "C" and "D" batteries?

If they are rechargable, you can recycle at Lowes or Home Depot. If they are regular alkaline batteries, you can safely dispose of them in your trash. The hazardous material, mercury, has not been used since the 1990s.
