I went to Dr. Scot Holman at Lake Eye and he is outstanding. I no longer need to wear glasses. :MOJE_whot:

I just had my first eye done at Lake Eye with Dr. Wherly and second on this Wednesday. I changed from Lange Eye and now some one else who just had eye surgery at Lake Eye. Very good so far.

If that is the office up in Oakland Hills on 441 I went there last year and would not go back. Waited over two hours one day for appointment and their equipment was outdated, compared to other offices around here.

Lake Eye is located in the Villages Regional Medical Center and they definitely have up to date equipment.

I, too, just had bilateral cataract surgery with Dr. Wherly. I still need readers because of an astigmatism, but everything went great, 20/20 for distance! Had to pay for the more expensive lenses but think it was worth it.

If you had bilateral why do you need readers? I need my other I done and will consider Dr. Wherly.

As I indicated, I have an astigmatism. If I didn't have, would not need readers.

Bilateral means both eyes were done. Not the same as bifocal.

smcgirl 09-18-2013 07:51 PM

Thanks for explaining that to me. Why would it cost more to have both eyes done at the same time? just curious..

Don't know. We never did both eyes at the same time. Just in case. We always waited for the first eye to completely recover and vision to stabilize. Then we would schedule the second eye.

We have been going to Lake Eye since 2006. Service is fantastic!

Which lenses did you decide on?
