How easy/difficult to rent Manufactured Home?

Will be buying manufactured home in TV (to start) within the year and plan on renting it till I'm able to retire. Just turned 60 the other day and hope to retire in a few years.Could possibly upgrade to Patio or some other type of home if I'm ever able to sell my other homes in Florida,. Is it better to rent only seasonally or lease by year? What would be the best option and is it reasonably easy to rent?

I have been thinking of doing the same thing as you - buying and then renting out the home for all or most of the year until I could move to TV permanently. I just looked on The Villages 4 Rent.com. There are many homes on the historic side of TV available for rent, but it looks like most of the homes on the historic side during January-February-March 2014 are already rented.

I understand that there are some considering purchasing a manufactured home then building a custom home on the property. Are their TV restrictions that keep you from doing that???

Happens all the time - as long as you follow the rules. Get a complete understanding before you buy.
