Birdcage screening
Want to add on birdcage. Getting different info from different contractors re: different qualities/colors of screen. Ex: white offers most privacy (true?). Solar screens deflect sun and UV rays (Will there be enough to support plant life?)and was told that the solar/sun screening cuts down on air movement (does that mean I can't use my grill inside the birdcage with that screen?). Any and all info would be SOOO appreciated!

Screening
We added a bird gage. The roof was done with a solar blocking screen. The sides were standard screen material. I really do not like the white privacy screening. It looks strange to me, why not just put up a wall. The roof solar screening is much more comfortable than standard.
The solar screen is a little more dense than standard and will cut down on air flow but for the roof you really don't need air flow. I use a propane grill regularly in the B.C. The sides are standard screening and do allow more air flow. We really enjoy the outdoors and a B.C. is the most comfortable way to enjoy the back yard. We are adding a propane fire pit this year to temper the evening air this winter. |
