Hillsborough trail

Lots of activity south side and east of Anna Marie, streets & lights in.

Rec ctr under construction.

Just on the north side of Lake Deaton also

Looks like next area to explode.

I love to watch it all happen. We truly are watching history unfold. Never in the history of the world has such a place existed for seniors. Or anyone for that matter.

It is just amazing to see how fast they are able to build and to build well. Nothing wrong with the houses, just very carefully programmed and efficient builders.

Thanks guys.

The expansion is history in the making for some and a reminder that The Villages is getting a little too crowded for others. We are not yet in to a full return of seasonal residents and already the roads, cart paths, restaurants ,etc are crowded. it appears that the old saying less is more has application here or the more the merrier depending on your preference. But what is factual is that it is what it is.

For me, the MORE THE MARRIER.

Rubincon - I noticed the same thing in the past week. Was at Publix on Monday and told my husband "it feels like in season in the store". Also noted the number of golf carts out and about so perhaps we are headed to year long crowds.

Is the rec center Manatee?

jimbo2012 09-12-2013 05:20 AM

No, Matatee is going to be about a mile west of this new one.

bkcunningham1 09-12-2013 05:55 AM

I think the rec center is Eisenhower.

kittygilchrist 09-12-2013 05:57 AM

Eisenhower is a classic beauty. sharp contrast next door to rustic Brownwood...

jimbo2012 09-12-2013 06:02 AM

not Eisenhower, that's 2 miles west of this one, you're going in the wrong direction.

Just about in the middle of Morse & Buena Vista

Probably Dunedin Neighborhood Rec Center. It is on Hillsborough Trial between Anna Marie and Charlotte streets.

We have to give it time for everything to come around. Along with all the new homes will be all the new restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, streets, etc that we need to serve the growing community. I suspect that if we build it, they will come, and will keep coming as long as the economy will sustain them.

susiejwill 09-12-2013 10:00 AM

You are correct tghoul--Dunedin Neighborhood Rec Center is east of Anna Maria. Manatee Village Rec Center is west of Anna Maria toward the Hillsborough Neighborhood Rec Center. Eisenhower Regional Rec Center is on the corner of Buena Vista and 44a just north of Brownwood Paddock Square.

Going to be interesting to see the prices of homes located right on Lake Deaton in Dunedin.

My guess is foundations will start soon near HB Trail first.

They have been irrigating the heck out on the new GC west of Dunedin for weeks.

Manatee will be at Inverary and Hillsborough. Saw them putting out stakes today, so I suspect that something will happen on that site in the near future.
