Hickory Golf
 

Does anyone use hickory club to golf down here. I'm looking for people who enjoy playing the old fashioned way.

You will need to find the older golf balls , there is the rub. Even using wooden woods with the post 2002 golf balls will result in those clubs breaking.
If youhave a cache of old golf balls, please let me know. It would be to play with the old lugs once in a while.

You can get the older golf balls from Louisville Golf. Their clubs can be used with modern golf balls also.

I will be down there in July I play with reproduction Hickories most of the time. I have several sets if anyone would like to try them out

Louisville Golf doesn't seem to sell the old golf balls anymore. You can get several different era balls from Welcome to McIntyre Golf Company | McIntyre Golf Company. Very reasonable prices.

Look me up when you get to town. I'm trying to start a chapter here for the Society of Hickory Golfers.

I will get in touch with you when I arrive. I may also join the Tampa group. They play often and there are quite a few Donald Ross courses down there.

Yes I belong to the Virginia and Carolina groups. I am in Tampa now looking for a home in TV as we speak. We would like to find something in the Winifred section we are coming up there tomorrow to look around. I am playing Wed with the Hickories I may play Temple Terrace.
