New Video?
 

Saw a commercial yesterday morning advertising The Villages on Fox and Friends. This is a new commercial I had never seen before so the question...is there a new video out of "The Villages"?

How interesting, literally an hour ago I asked a guest coordinator the exact same question! She was not sure but was going to let me know so when I know I shall let you know and vice versa please! I think the other video is a bit outdated and as many times I have shown it to our friends I could do with the change!

Just wondering if anyone has recently received a dvd with your lifestyle packet that is not dated 10.08?

They were filming parts for a new video this past summer, but a new video hasn't been released yet

In May, at the developers annual presentation to the VHA, Mark Morse thought build out would be in about 15 months. Four months have passed so that moves the date to 11 months. If build out is less than a year away, why make a new video? Makes me think that the 15 months is being used to get folks to buy in anticipation that there will not be any new homes in the near future. I think that build out is a long way off. Just my opinion. I have no secret source to back this up.

If you notice, the new commercial does not mention Golf. Highlights everything else, camaraderie, entertainment in the Squares, rec centers, gym, etc.

Newbies, wannabe's and those who've never been here should never underestimate the value of a pre-owned home in TV, and TV's skill in keeping its majority market share of pre-owned sales.

In many ways, pre-owned homes are often nicer and better buys than the new ones, because of their prime locations, lavish owner-installed enhancements they know they'll not recoup in selling, expensive landscaping, etc.

The note I wrote down at that meeting is "at current pace, build out in first quarter 2016."

You are correct. It was the first quarter of 2016 for build out. sorry I got that wrong. It's still odd that they went from 2008 until 2013 (5 years) without an update and are making a new video for less than 3 years remaining.
