Dog sitter not to call!
 

I was looking for someone to sit my four month old KC Cavalier for a couple of days. I looked in The Daily Sun and contacted someone by the name of Joanna who claims to be a dog lover in her ad. I called at 8:20 in the morning to discuss the situation and when I advised Joanna what I was calling about her response was "at this hour in the morning". Apparently I had woken her up. I don't know about anyone else but I want a dog sitter who gets up earlier than 8:20 am and who isn't rude to inquiring customers. Don't worry Joanna I won't be disturbing you again.

In our house we don't call anyone before 9:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m. Sorry she wasn't polite, but possibly she wasn't all the way awake. I am not always perky when I answer the phone that early either. It doesn't mean she is a bad dog sitter.

IMO it's important to have personal references from people who have used the sitter such as your neighbors. I would not trust someone that I haven't checked out extensively, too many things can to wrong.

Gotta disagree with that. My dog needs to go out in the morning before 8:30 after waiting all night. I would find someone with hours more similar to mine. Just my opinion.

Sorry the lady was so snappish...guess she didn't need the job that bad>?? I would be more than happy to get on the list of pet sitters. I have been pet sitting for many years. :wave:

I do too sleep! Just not much. Sides, dogs can only cross their legs so long and I really don't like cleaning up doggy messes in a house.

Second on Julie. I have not used her but know two people from different Villages that have and both stated she was very good.

Our two kitties, Mikey, Harry and Hershey like Redwitch. Tomorrow is her Birthday and they bought her a cake.
