It will depend on the price, insurance costs, if it has a bond balance remaining, etc. It would probably be best to ask the property at the Villages office at (352) 753-2270. They could give you an better idea based on your specific purchase.

We bought two new homes for cash and had very little closing costs.

Is this a state where the seller pays the closing costs?

Cash is cow.....no closing costs, except if you want title insurance.

We bought a patio villa for cash in February. On $150,000 we had about $1,000 for costs. Title insurance will add more.

Were the closing costs on your loan? If you pay cash, I don't think there are any or few anyway.

I am told that the majority of people pay cash for their homes here.

But that is just what I have heard frequently.

Gracie: I like what you are saying but unfortunately it did not apply to us. We closed yesterday and did pay closing costs even though we paid cash. Not sure if it's a sign of the times now, whereas before they may not have charged closing costs on cash payments.

Was it less than five hundred dollars? For filing etc?

This was a villages sale.
Now that I have the closing documents in front of me, I can see that what i paid really cannot be construed as closing costs. But rather settlement costs:
They are:
Pest inspection 85
Lake sumter home inspections 275
water sewer trash 54
amenity 145
buyer mailbox - seller return id pass 190
over night courier handling fee 20.
recording fees 10
Therefore you could say my closing costs were $190 +20 +10. The rest are settlements or payments for services rendered. Hope this helps future buyers with understanding the closing costs.
