Soft Target and the Kenya Shopping Mall attack.

I read a Stephen Hunter book called Soft Target about a year ago about a sniper caught in an attack in the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN. This attack was at the hands of an American using Somalian immigrants to do his violence while he took care of the computer software and the like in the Mall.

Eerie to have a novel reflect real life in such a way.

Here's a review of Soft Target http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...hts-on-a-mall/

Heard two "specialists" say that malls are now the new airplanes for terrorists...scary thought how easy it is

Yes. Particularly in malls that post gun bans making them Gun Free Zones, which are attractive targets for terrorists.

For a terrorist it is most empowering to know that you are the only person in the room with a gun.
