i have already mentioned that i will host a pot luck party at my home on sat, oct 19. several people have already pm'd me that they would like to come...it will be BYOB and also bring something to share. i will probably make a few meatloaves and others can bring salads, veggies, desserts, a chicken, breads and drinks...i know the guys will want to just buy something which is fine. my home is small and we may have to overflow outside, so bring a lawn chair if you have one....please pm me as soon as possible because at some point i will probably have to limit the attendees and don't want anyone to be left out. after dinner i hope to do some small group conversations on topics i will pre-arrange to be of interest to singles and to help us get to know a little something about each other.... this was to be a welcome party for katie rogers but she already gave her own great party in sept!!! :)

well, we have over 25 so far so it is getting down to the space limit...as usual we have more ladies than guys so i will suggest that if any of the gals coming know a nice single guy, feel free to invite them and tell them about the pot luck and byob...but let me know how many are coming! that is a great way to meet new people. lots of nice gal friends to make, also! looking forward to all the yummy dishes! please pm me with what kind of dish or item you would be bringing so i can keep it balanced :) less than two weeks away! yikes!

What a wonderful idea to help single people meet. I met a woman in the Sanibel pool a few weeks ago and she said she is very lonely. Just moved here. I told her to go on TOTV and meet other singles. I hope she did.

yes, it is a nice way to meet and socialize without having to holler over the noise of a band or walk into a room full of 300 strangers. i think we have well over 30 people for NEXT saturday (some thought it was tomorrow) so if you have a folding chair it would be useful. can use a few more main dish items such as a pasta or rice entree. we have a huge cake for dessert but everyone loves a variety, too. need a strong volunteer to help me open a big table for the patio before the six pm party :) hope it will be a beautiful evening weather-wise as last night was at the italian festival! see you soon!
