Yesteryear vs street rod

What is the difference between yesteryear ad streetrod golf carts and where do you buy them?

Bay Kid 09-30-2013 07:13 AM

Go drive each and you will see there is no comparison. Streetrods are the sports car of golf carts!

Streetrods can only be purchased at Streetrod Productions. Contact Deb at 352-751-3953. Yesteryear can be seen at any of TV Golf Cars stores.

Streetrod is by far a better build.

When I looked at Yesteryear carts in 2011 the TV Golf Carts at LSL had 2 or 3 on the showroom floor and they were priced about $12,500. Then I looked at Street Rods on CR101 and they had about 20 on the floor and were about $22,000 and up. That was over two years ago. I ended going with a Yamaha gas cart fully loaded from TV at LSL with Ultimate Seats, SS Wheels, Black Roof, big mirrors, 2 sand bottles, gas gauge, etc for $10,300.

I use mine for the fun of it. They are priced new around $20,000. including tax. Lots of options available. They are built on a stretched frame. I don't use this as a everyday cart, I am sure others do. It drives great and is just fun, special.

It looks to me like the designer of Streetrods has some hot rod DNA, while the designer of Yesteryears has a mix of Clown and Shriner DNA.

The tolerance lines of body fit are the most obvious. Also the increased size of the street rod has allowed them to produce a more comfortable cabin seating area. The street rod attention to detail of the dash board, headlights and steering column are superior to the yesteryear.

The drive!

We have two Streetrods -- and love them - street rods are built on a new club car chassis that has been cut and stretched about 10 inches -- I do not believe the yesteryear carts are on a new chassis! - the stretch chassis lends itself to a more realistic 5/8ths styling of older cars and a much more stable ride - longer wheelbase - less unstable steering

sorry duplicated prior - my bad!

I have a 2003 Yesteryear and LOVE it. Paid $6K for it at the Villages Golf Cart Store two years ago. She is fun to drive andAttachment 25949 gets loads of comments. Wouldn't drive anything but.
