Wrong way Corrigan!
 

Was just heading home from MVP gym in Spanish Springs when I saw an odd sight. I was driving my car southbound on Morse Blvd towards 466. I see a fellow on a bicycle heading north from just north of 466, in the southbound multi-modal path. I wave to him to indicate he is on the wrong side of the road, but he just smiles and continues on his merry way. I presume that, if he continues riding in that direction, he would eventually encounter other cyclists going the "right" way. Even worse, if someone was making a right turn from one of the several side streets off of Morse, he could be in danger. I thought about dialing 911, but didn't.

What I'm about to post is way worse than the above bicycle instance I described above.

This morning I was driving my car southbound on Morse, going over the bridge into Lake Sumter Landing. As I approached the circle, I was astonished to see an SUV heading toward me in the wrong direction. He/she made a left turn into the oncoming lane toward Bravo Pizza. I lost sight of him/her as the vehicle turned. I didn't hear any crashing noises, so I presume there was nobody coming the other way. Unbelievable!

Oh...as we get more people returning to their homes, we ALL need to watch out for them and for us.

As I went out today, I felt an increase of traffic. I think the birdies are coming home.

we had 3 , count em 3 close calls today.. 2 while we were in the cart.. a car didn't stop at stop sign in Lake Sumter.. close to Bravo Pizza .. 2nd was a car turned from right lane into a parking spot by the gazebo.. right in front of us and another cart..if we had not been observant, we would have been crashed.. 3rd was in the car in front of Best Buy.. all I can say, is quote Gracie. Watch out for them and for us..

Well,yes, it is dangerous out there but right now we are in Orange County, CA...it is REALlY dangerous here. Just be careful wherever you are.
