mail and parcel delivery in the villages
 

Just want to understand how mail and packages are delivered. I live where the mail comes to the ail box on our home I understand this is. Not how its done in the villages. I have concern abut drugs and medical supplies we rec'd monthly.:

you have a locked mailbox with the key if your post is too large for the box it is put in a larger locked box and the keys left in your mailbox

The interior of the mail stations are air conditioned, so unless they are very sensitive (in which case, you probably wouldn't do mail order), you needn't worry about heat affecting your meds.

our mail services are centralized, and very efficient. however, all mail is one day late. the lady lake post office receives all mail for the villages, and then distributes it through subcontractors who take it to the neighborhood mail stations where they are put into your locked mail box. and there are seperate facilities there when you recieve packages. all very efficient.

If your medicines are sent by UPS or Fedex they will be delivered to your door. However if you are not home the package might sit outside in the heat.

You have to pick up your mail at your village recreation center, and my experience is that the mail are delivered promptly, one or two time it was one day later than expected.

Pretty close. The mail drops are sometimes separate places and sometimes with the adult pool.

The rec centers are a different place entirely.
