Who Services Yard Pole Lights?
The pole light in my front yard doesn't turn off during the day. The electric eye is probably bad.
I understand that TV maintains these lights. Who should I call about this? |
If your house is still in the warranty period (within 1 year of closing) call Villages Warranty at 352-753-6222. They'll send an electrician to fix it at no cost to you. If you are outside the warranty period, Pike's Electric installed your post, you can call them for service or call a local electrician.

He says it isn't easy peasy...but not real hard. Turn off electricity and remove the photo sensor and take it to Lowes or Home Depot to get a replacement and rewire it back. Ours is on the pole at the upper end near the lantern glass.
Sweetie says wiggle it first to see if it responds before doing all that. I think this is what he said.:loco: |
Thanks to all.
I'm sure it isn't difficult to fix. I wasn't going to do it because the seller of the house said the pole lights belonged to TV. Replacing an electric eye module isn't a big deal. I used to repair radio transmitters. Thanks to all who responded. . |

my light was on all the time because a branch of a palm tree was up against the sensor...finally burned out the light. I replaced the light bulb and the next day all was working as it should be
