Any new info on gel or teflon nails?

I would like to have nicer looking nails than I have now. Friends were just here and they were wearing the gel nails, and I think one had teflon. Anyone have any thoughts about artificial nails and where to get them?

Occasionally I wear glue on, but they really destroy my nail base.

All ruins the nail beds. Only thing that doesn't is regular nail polish. I have finally given up on nail color for the most part unless there is a special occasion. I just use cuticle remover once a week and file and clip when needed and maybe a clear coat for some extra strength.

I don't like the removal process of GEL. They soften it first, but they scratch the heck out of my nails as they scrape the GEL off. I tried it a few times and have gone back to regular polish.

they are using cheap gell..either opi or cnd does not require that..cnd has a condition to help nails...before i redo my nails i use little olive oil on my nails and with a no acetone nail polish remover the gell glides right off..my nails have always grown very thin and brittle,,now i have to cut them down every three weeks and can go without polish and have 0 breaking for weeks at a time....but you can only get cnd at a high end salon...

Thanks for all the information! I have been to Leslie Jon (SS) twice now, and am very happy with the results. The first set lasted until I went back, three weeks and two days, and other than the growing out line, were still like the first day. Decided that three weeks was too long to go between visits, so now will go back in two weeks. Evette (sp) does them.

thank you. Thanks to acrylics I have a corrupted nail bed now lying beneath brittle nail. It can get worse is the moral. I think I can get away with press ons. They hang on in a fragile way and pop off at the funniest times! Flick your hair once, lose a nail, flick it twice, and the nail flies across the dance floor or....wherever...grocery store, that's a hoot.

I've been wearing gel nails for years. I really Catt go without. My real nails are so thin they rip and tear. Now I ave nice looking nails that don't hurt. I get a fill every 2-3 weeks.

Now I just have to find a good nail salon here. Any suggestions? There's one in Colony Plaza I see. I would appreciate any suggestions.

if you want to know how to use gels nails properly and apply properly and let the nails breath periodically go to Tuscany Day Spa & Salon in Lake Sumter Landing and get it done right and when to not do it.
